If a Hero rolls two or more dice that match Talus’s Prediction value, what happens?
Example: Talus’s Prediction is 4 and his Data = 2. The Judge rolls 4, 4, 3.
- The first die would trigger Prediction and give Talus + 2 Data (Data = 4) changing the die’s value to 4, triggering it again!
- This gives Talus +2 more Data (Data = 6) changing the die’s value to 6.
- The second die would also trigger Prediction and give Talus another + 2 Data (Data = 6 because 6 is max) changing that die’s value to 6.
- The final Result of the roll would be 6, 6, 3.
Can Hel Ursa make a die’s value go above 6 on her Bladesong Roll to make a longer thread? How about lower than 1?
Yes she can add to the value of any die in her Bladesong roll and the values can go above 6.
No she is not allowed to make 0s or negative numbers for the roll (sorry, it would be too strong).
When using the Forsaken’s Destiny Instant ability to change the value of a die in an Ability Roll, can that trigger the Archon’s Passive Polarity (say you rolled a 4 and the Archon has 6 Charges and the Destiny roll is a 3 which brings the Ability Roll value to 7)?
Yes it triggers Polarity but it will still never bring the Charge value higher than its max (8).
When I make a Cheat Death Roll, can I save myself with my Cunning Instant before the -2 Vanish happens?
- He would now lose 2 Vanish (putting him to the KO spot on his Skill Bar).
- Cheat Death reads: “…Make a Cheat Death Roll then -2 Vanish…”.
- Which means after you make the Cheat Death Roll, you have an opportunity to use your Cunning Instant to gain +2 Vanish meaning that you would go from -2 Vanish, to 0 Vanish, then back to -2 Vanish!
Can I spend my Defiance to refresh Pardon in the middle of getting Defiance from overhealing during an Objection (or Judgement)?
In both cases you can. Everything in Raid Boss is sequential and on a stack.
- When breaking down area of effect or multiple target abilities, they always trigger in turn order starting from the active Hero.
- So each time a Hero is healed, you can technically step in and pay Defiance (or use other Instant abilities) so as not to waste your precious Skill!
When using the Titan’s Challenge Instant, if there is an effect on the Boss Card, does the Titan gain the effect instead of the original Hero?
No, the Titan is simply taking all of the DMG for the Hero with his Instant, none of the effects.
When using the Titan’s Challenge Instant on a Hero in position 1 against Vrykolakas, does the Titan take the extra DMG from Weakness?
Yes, the Titan is taking all Boss DMG for the Hero he is protecting this turn and so the extra DMG is first applied to the protected Hero and then transferred to the Titan.

Reika – When removing Roots and dealing 2 DMG to myself as the Voidwatcher, does Masochist trigger?
Yes it triggers Masochist giving the Voidwatcher a Bonus Die!
Titan’s Juggernaut also shields the DMG to himself, but using Challenge to try to reduce the DMG to allies will not work because the self damage is not Boss DMG.
Dragoon’s Airborn does not reduce the DMG from removing roots, because it is not Boss DMG.
Akeri’s Poison cannot be shielded does this mean Challenge doesn’t work on Poison?
- No. Challenge still allows Titan to take the Boss DMG for another Hero.
- However, Juggernaut shields DMG and so all Poison DMG will be dealt to the Titan (he can still gain Rage as a result of the Juggernaut Roll).
- Dragoon’s Airborn works just fine reducing the DMG from Poison.
- Construct and Lux’s Armor is not considered shield so that does prevent the DMG from Poison.
